It’s that time of year, where 160,000 gearheads invade Sin City for the biggest automotive trade show in the industry. One-off vehicle builds, new product unveilings, 90-plus educational sessions, and a strong OEM presence consumes the sprawling Las Vegas Convention Center for four full days. That means show trucks, race cars, unique ground-up builds, billet engines, problem-solving parts, and endless automotive eye candy. This time, more than 2,400 exhibitors, 2,600 media and content creators, and over 70,000 buyers and decision makers will be on hand. SEMA 2026 kicks off tomorrow at 9 am.

Want most of the Tremor hardware without building an $80,000 truck? A new video making the rounds shows the 2027 F-350 XL with Ford’s $2,995 Off-Road 35-Inch Tire Package. It brings 35s, raised suspension, upgraded shocks, front limited-slip and rear locking differentials, skid plates and Ford’s full group of off-road drive modes. One owner reportedly drove away in his for around $64,000, while similar Tremor-equipped trucks were pushing $86,000. Not exactly apples-to-apples on equipment, obviously. But if you want capability more than leather and badges, this package makes a whole lot of sense. According to Ford, the package was developed for forestry crews, mining engineers, utilities and other fleet customers.

If you’re in Las Vegas for the annual SEMA Show, make sure to stop by the BDS Suspension booth in West Hall. This Duramax-swapped ’79 K30 will be there waiting for you. NFI Empire played a huge role in the build and treated the classic Chevy to its two-tone, Chico Blue/Celestial White paint scheme, while Dan’s Diesel Performance took care that the 6.6L turned out plenty of power. Coined “Project Reborn,” the Duramax packs a DDP Dominator turbo, injectors, and 10mm CP3. It’s also backed by an Allison transmission. In late October, the one-of-a-kind square body fetched a record $275,000 for The Brett Boyer Foundation on the auction block at the Red Bird Games.

The final Outlaw Diesel Super Series event of the year took place at Knoxville Dragway over the weekend in the form of Epling Motorsports’ Smoky Mountain Throwdown. In the Top Diesel class, rookie Brianna Gilbert earned her second win in a row. In Super Diesel, Nathannial DeLong cruised to victory and sewed up the points championship in the process, while Justin Zeigler did the same in Pro Truck. Index category winners included Jordan Newman (pictured here atop Logan Yelton) and his common-rail first-gen in 5.90, while Brandon Shank got the W in 6.70 and Ryan Daniels won 7.70. In ET Bracket, veteran Robin Ridgway put her trusty crew cab 7.3L in the winner’s circle.

That’s the question Aaron West is asking himself as he considers putting his common-rail swapped first-gen Cummins on the market. Last week, he teased the idea of selling it, so long as $50,000 or more was offered. But before you balk at the starting price point, check out the spec list. First and foremost, the body sits on an ’03 third-gen chassis. It sports a built 5.9L, a 12mm CP3 and 300-percent over injectors, a True North S476 single turbo (with a spool-friendly 1.00 A/R exhaust housing), and a full manual valve body 48RE. The truck has cleared 930-rwhp on the dyno in the past.
